Traditional gels consist of water and carbohydrates mixed with syrups/flavourings. Maurten Gel 100 is completely different. It is a biopolymer blend that allows you to absorb more carbohydrates per hour! Designed with hydrogel technology, it has a liquid base that gels on contact with stomach acid. The nutrients are then transported more quickly to the intestine for better absorption. This technology limits gastric problems during exercise.

Studies have shown that the body can absorb up to 900 grams of carbohydrates per hour during exercise. Researchers have recently demonstrated that a fructose/glucose ratio of 0.8:1 allows the body to absorb an even greater amount. Gel 100 was developed based on this ratio and contains 25 grams of carbohydrates per 40-gram sachet (60% carbohydrates). It contains six natural ingredients. The taste is neutral and slightly sweet.

Directions for use:

Maurten Gel 100 can be used before, during or after exercise. Several gels can be consumed during long rides. This product can be used alone or combined with other Maurten products for optimal energy and hydration.
