Restrap Switch Axle bikepacking thru-axle

The Restrap Switch Axle is a thru-axle designed to work with the Restrap Switch Rack luggage rack system. It allows you to securely attach the rack whilst offering the ability to quickly transfer your bikepacking gear from one bike to another.

Ideal for cyclists with multiple bikes, this additional axle simplifies the installation of the Switch Rack without having to remove the original axle every time you switch bikes. Thanks to the spacers provided, it fits frames with 142 mm and 148 mm Boost wheelbases, ensuring a precise and secure fit.

Made from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, it offers an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio and high resistance to the stresses associated with bikepacking. Available with different thread pitches (1 mm, 1.5 mm or 1.75 mm), it fits the majority of modern frames equipped with a 12 mm thru-axle. Installation:
- Remove the bike’s original thru-axle.
- Fit the Restrap Switch axle using a 6 mm Allen key.
- Use the supplied 3 mm washers to centre the rack bar above the rear wheel.
- Fit the tapered spacer if your frame is compatible.
