Handcrafted in Italy, developed with Filippo Ganna and used by him to break the hour mark. The name alone says it all: introducing the new VELOCE EXTREME from Northwave. The new POWERSHAPE HT sole, made from 100% unidirectional carbon. Developed for optimal power transfer without energy loss. An asymmetrical design to ensure comfort on the outside of the heel whilst providing support on the inside. The POWERSHAPE system is touted as an added bonus in terms of foot support and comfort. The sole features large ventilation ports to increase airflow in and out, enhancing the shoe’s breathability. The heels are replaceable to extend the shoe’s lifespan. And that’s just the sole.

The new ARS 2.0 technology, an anatomical reticular support system that promises excellent support and a better fit for the foot. This system guarantees comfort and support, not to mention increased power transfer. On top of that, the VELOCE EXTREME is manufactured using the brand’s UNDERLAP CONSTRUCTION technology. What this means is that there are no obstacles between you and the perfect fit. This is thanks to a uniform closure with no pressure points, and optimised ventilation and temperature regulation for your feet.

To make the fit a little more personalised, Northwave provides two types of insoles with different densities. Both feature an anatomical design; the difference lies in the thickness of the insoles: 5mm for narrow feet, 3mm for standard feet. It’s up to you to try them out and see which suits you best. Finally, these shoes are fitted with the SLW3 fastening system. Simple, quick and precise. Simply press and turn to adjust. Pull to release.
