The SRAM HS2 mountain bike brake disc has a new configuration for quieter and more powerful braking. It is 0.15 mm thicker and has better friction with the pads. The feel is as pleasant as ever, and it is easy to modulate the power. The HS2 also offers improved endurance. In demanding conditions, we observed better performance with the same pads. Rigidity is also increased, which is to be expected with an extra 0.15mm of thickness. The quietness of operation is also improved, which is especially noticeable during the most intense sessions.
