Is this kit compatible with Shimano 8-, 9-, 10- and 11-speed groupsets?

Yes. It is suitable for most mechanical Shimano road groupsets, regardless of generation, provided they are not Di2 electronic drivetrains.

Can it be used with a SRAM drivetrain?

Yes, Shimano states that this kit is compatible with mechanical drivetrains: Shimano and SRAM.

Is it compatible with Di2?

No. The Y60098501 is designed exclusively for mechanical cable systems. Di2 groupsets use specific electronic cabling.

Are the cables pre-lubricated?

Yes. The SIS cable housing ( Shimano ) is pre-lubricated to reduce friction and improve gear shifting performance.

When should you replace your derailleur cables?

When gear changes become less precise, the cables start to fray, or the housings show signs of wear. Replacing them regularly helps maintain the drivetrain’s performance.
