On the contrary, precisely because it serves as a link between components, it must be specifically designed to fit perfectly with the components in question.The Campagnolo kit consists of stainless steel cables and anti-friction sheaths lubricated with special grease. Laboratory tests have demonstrated unrivalled sliding capacity: the Campagnolo cable and sheath kit maintains a constant friction value of between 20-22 N at the most critical point, the initial actuation. This is an exceptional value when you consider that some competing systems have values around 130-140 N.
