Problem to solve: replace a pedal crank with a 24 mm diameter axle (Rotor 3D for example) worn and not maintained in spare parts (thanks Rotor... grrr!) with a crankset with a 30 mm axle (Rotor 3D+ for example) on a frame designed for 24 mm pedal axles and a screwed BSA bottom bracket. The only technical solution to fit all this into the limited available space is this ROTOR bottom bracket: they provide the special key to screw it in (good point!) but there isn't enough diameter space in the frames for a protective plastic bellows that comes around the axle between the 2 bearings like on any other bottom bracket: that's why there isn't one in the photo nor with the purchased item... Result: if you ride only on dry roads, it deserves 5 stars because it works very well (I've done several rides)... but if you also ride sometimes on wet roads or in the rain, it deserves... zero stars! Dust and/or sand enter from the bottom of the frame box with the splashes and these particles gradually migrate along the axle (there's no famous protective bellows) towards the INNER sides of the bearings which are not protected like the outer sides and after a few additional rides, you'll have a permanent grinding sound like a (Translated review)
Seem to be of good quality, but not compatible with my clavicula (too wide...) (Translated review)
I'm on my 3rd case and unfortunately they all end their life after about 2000 km of use due to lack of waterproofing, too bad but to mount a Race-Face crankset on my Niner rip9 I haven't found anything else!! (Translated review)
all my bikes have a rotor crankset, so I chose the bearings of the same brand, it works very well (Translated review)
