BMC ICS Carbon Aero Gen2 2027 integrated handlebars

The BMC ICS Carbon Aero Gen2 is a high-end carbon handlebar developed for cyclists looking for a riding position that is both aerodynamic, rigid and ergonomic. This second generation combines the demands of competition with a design intended to make assembly and maintenance easier.

Developed by engineers at Impec Lab in collaboration with Tudor Pro Cycling: the ICS Carbon Aero Gen2 cockpit features a performance-oriented design. Its carbon construction, aerodynamic profile and seamless integration make it the ideal solution for enhancing the cockpit of a road bike BMC compatible.

A carbon cockpit designed for performance

The BMC ICS Carbon Aero Gen2 is based on the philosophy AeroSynthesys, which regards the cockpit as the first part of the bike to interact with the airflow. Its design is therefore aimed at optimising the airflow before it reaches the cyclist.

This aerodynamic research is complemented by an optimised carbon construction. BMC announces a twice as rigid as the previous generation, thanks in particular to a new layering of the carbon composite.

The new clamping system at the fork pivot also increases the contact area with the pivot, thereby improving bike control and power transfer.

A width of 390/440 mm for excellent control

This version of the cockpit is 390 mm at the dropouts and 440 mm at the bottom of the handlebars. This design allows the levers to remain relatively compact whilst offering a wider opening at the drops.

The 12° flare contributes to this ergonomic design and promotes a natural hand position in the various riding positions.

The lower section of the handlebar is also specially curved to align with modern brake levers. Its progressive shape makes it easier to move between different positions and provides a precise grip as the pace picks up.

Various boom lengths

Item number 30007874 is available with a range of stem lengths to allow the rider’s position to be adjusted precisely:

• 90 mm

• 100 mm

• 110 mm

• 120 mm

Each configuration retains a -17° stem angle, a reach of 81 mm and a drop of 135 mm.

This option to choose the length of the stem allows you to adjust the position without changing the cockpit, making it easier to find the setting best suited to your body type and riding style.

Simplified assembly

BMC has also paid particular attention to ease of installation. Cable routing is external, with covers fitted beneath the handlebars to maintain a neat finish.

This design makes the cockpit more accessible for installation, adjustment and maintenance work, whilst retaining the sleek aesthetic expected of a high-end cockpit.

GPS mount Garmin and Wahoo included

The ICS Carbon Aero Gen2 cockpit comes with a compatible meter bracket Garmin and Wahoo. It makes it easy to mount a cycle GPS on top of the handlebars and ensures optimal data readability whilst out cycling.

A GoPro-compatible interface is also built in. It allows you to attach various compatible accessories, such as a camera or a light.
