The Comete 45/55 Mavic s are a pair of carbon wheels designed to combine aerodynamics, lightness and responsiveness. With a 45 mm rim at the front and a 55 mm rim at the rear, they offer a particularly appealing balance for routes where climbs and descents alternate with fast sections. The lower front rim profile promotes precise handling, whilst the taller rear rim helps to maintain speed effectively.

The 25 mm Aero Wide rim is optimised for 30 mm tyres to ensure a seamless transition between the tyre and the wheel. The unidirectional carbon spokes, designed with an aerodynamic shape, reduce drag whilst providing excellent lateral stiffness. Thanks to Adaptive Layup technology, Mavic also optimises the carbon’s behaviour to produce a responsive wheel that’s easy to accelerate, which is particularly welcome when the going gets steep.

The aluminium hubs, fitted with Mavic Ceramic bearings and the Instant Drive 360 freehub system, complete this performance-oriented set-up. UST-compatible Tubeless Ready, the Comete 45/55 accommodates tyres of at least 30 mm and offers an excellent compromise for cyclists seeking greater agility than a deeper-profile set-up can provide.
