Expert wheels
The Zipp 404 Firecrest is evolving once again. This wheel retains its name and 58 mm height, but the change is in the depth. It features the ZR1 hub, already present on the Zipp 303 version, which offers greater fluidity, greater spoke tension and, above all, much less friction during freewheeling. The engagement when resuming pedalling is also much faster. The rim retains ABLC Sawtooth technology, which resembles dimples on a golf ball. This allows the wind to bounce off the rim to improve aerodynamics. The rim features Hookless technology, which makes it easier to fit a tubeless tyre. This is the only type of tyre that can be used on the Zipp 404. TSE (Total System Efficiency) technology is used to meet four objectives: improving aerodynamics, gravity and efficiency, and limiting losses due to poor road surfaces. The 23mm internal width allows for the fitting of tyres from 25mm upwards, but 28mm offers the best efficiency.
The use of Tubeless technology allows you to ride at lower pressures for improved comfort and efficiency. This is because the tyre stays in contact with the road longer when the road surface is poor.
For versatility, you can trust the Zipp 404. They boast a record weight of 1470 grams (depending on the version, this drops to 1450 g). Enough to tackle any terrain and fully exploit your physical potential.

pleasantly surprised by this pair of wheels that even with a height of 58mm really goes everywhere. Besides giving a great look to the bike, riding them is just as good. (Translated review)
Very good wheel, careful delivery, prices worth the detour (Translated review)
