The Comete 55/ Mavic s are a pair of carbon wheels designed for cyclists seeking speed without sacrificing control. Their differentiated profile – 55 mm at the front and 65 mm at the rear – offers an interesting balance between aerodynamics, stability and efficiency. The lower front rim promotes precise handling, whilst the taller rear wheel helps maintain momentum on fast sections.

The 25 mm Aero Wide rim is optimised for 30 mm tyres to improve the transition between tyre and rim and promote a more consistent airflow. The 21 carbon spokes, developed with an aerodynamic shape tested in a wind tunnel, enhance efficiency whilst providing stiffness and vibration damping. Adaptive Layup technology, meanwhile, delivers an excellent balance between lightness, stiffness and responsiveness.

The aluminium hubs are fitted with Mavic Ceramic bearings and the Instant Drive 360 freehub system with a 9° engagement angle. UST-compatible Tubeless Ready, the Comete 55/65 accommodates tyres of at least 30 mm and is particularly well-suited to undulating routes, where long, fast sections alternate with climbs and descents.
