The Comete 85 Mavic is a pair of carbon wheels designed to go fast – very fast. With its 85 mm profile and unidirectional carbon spokes, it prioritises aerodynamics on fast courses whilst maintaining excellent stiffness and a low weight. Mavic The brand describes it as its fastest spoked wheel ever tested in a wind tunnel, making it a particularly well-suited choice for time trials and triathlons.

Its 23 mm Aero Wide Rim is optimised for 28 mm tyres and forms a seamless transition with the tyre to minimise drag. The carbon spokes, developed with an aerodynamic shape selected in the wind tunnel, help to reduce rotational drag whilst providing good lateral stiffness. Adaptive Layup technology allows the carbon’s behaviour to be precisely tuned to achieve a balance between weight, stiffness and manoeuvrability.

Finally, the Comete 85 features aluminium hubs fitted with Mavic Ceramic bearings and the Instant Drive 360 freehub system with a 9° quick-engagement mechanism. Compatible with UST Tubeless Ready, it allows you to ride at pressures suited to modern tyres whilst maintaining high efficiency.
