True to the fundamentals and craftsmanship of the renowned Italian brand, the Colnago V5Rs SDM5 builds on the success of its predecessor, whilst improving on certain key aspects to make it the perfect road bike. A clever blend of aerodynamics, comfort, power transfer, handling, stability and lightness, it guarantees optimal performance. Compared to the V4Rs, the frame-and-fork assembly is 146 grams lighter thanks to a combination of new carbon layering and manufacturing techniques.

Drawing on the experience gained from research carried out for the Y1Rs, Colnago has refined the design of the V5Rs with sleek, high-performance profiles. Rivaling the best in terms of aerodynamics, the frame features a reduced frontal area, with a slimmer head tube and seat tube, to improve the drag coefficient and save watts. This Colnago V5Rs SDM5 makes no compromises on stiffness and responsiveness to meet the demands of professional riders such as Tadej Pogacar. In addition to a new fork profile, this bike features revised geometry to better accommodate more aggressive and efficient riding positions. It also adopts the BSA bottom bracket standard, a choice dictated by the frame’s stiffness, which allows for a less oversized and therefore lighter bottom bracket.

Built around this high-quality base, the Colnago V5Rs SDM5 is fitted with the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, which guarantees precise and rapid gear changes as well as high-performance disc braking in all conditions. This bike is fitted with Enve SES 4.5 Carbon wheels, offering excellent performance on all terrains, whether in the mountains or on the flat.
