The bike bottle Elite Fly Tex 550 ml is designed for cyclists looking for a water bottle that is both ultra-lightweight, flexible and easy to use whilst exercising. With just 51 g, this can Elite is one of the lightest models in its category. Its 550 ml capacity offers an excellent balance between capacity, size and weight, making it ideal for road cycling, gravel riding, cyclo-cross or daily training rides.
An ultra-lightweight cycle bottle weighing just 51 g
The main advantage of the Elite Fly Tex 550 ml lies in its particularly low weight. It is designed to use less material in order to keep the weight down whilst maintaining sufficient strength for regular use. Elite indicates that the Fly range uses, on average, 30 per cent less plastic than many traditional water bottles.
With its 51 g (unladen), Fly Tex helps to keep the weight carried on the bike to a minimum, which is a particularly attractive feature for cyclists looking for lightweight, high-performance kit.
A flexible material that makes it easy to drink whilst cycling
The body of the bottle is deliberately flexible and easily compressible. A simple squeeze of the hand is therefore enough to dispense the liquid quickly, without having to remove the bottle from the bottle cage.
Its textured exterior finish also improves grip, particularly when hands are wet or when the bottle is handled whilst wearing gloves.
High-flow valve and practical application
The cap on the can Elite Fly Tex is designed to allow for rapid fluid intake. This feature is particularly useful during sporting activities, when you need to be able to rehydrate quickly without interrupting your exercise.
The wide 54 mm opening makes it easy to fill with water or an energy drink and also makes cleaning easier. The cap and body can be taken apart to make it easier to wash and dry the bottle.
A BPA-free water bottle designed for cycling
The Elite Fly Tex is made from recyclable materials and is advertised as BPA-free, in compliance with FDA and CE standards. Elite recommends the use of cold liquids and specifies a maximum liquid temperature of 40 °C.
Its diameter of 74 mm is the standard size for cycle bottle cages, whilst its height is 184.5 mm in a 550 ml size.
Key points: If you’re looking for a lightweight, flexible 550 ml cycle water bottle, capable of delivering the drink quickly whilst remaining easy to clean, the Fly Tex is a particularly well-suited solution for both training and competition.
