Zéfal Bike Taxi bicycle towing system

Designed to make family bike rides more fun and enjoyable, whether around the house or on holiday, this Zéfal Bike Taxi rope is perfect for helping your child on a climb. For example, if you want to go and watch the Tour de France in the high mountains, but your child isn’t able to climb the final pass of the stage, this rope will allow you both to get as high up as possible together.

This system is easy to install. First on the seat rail of the towing bike, then on the stem of the towed bike. Suitable for all types of bikes, even e-bikes, this rope attaches and detaches quickly. The retractor is highly efficient, as the cable rewinds fully and directly. Lightweight, discreet and compact, this towing system features a 2-metre cable made from strong, high-density polyethylene fibre.

The Bike Taxi allows a cyclist weighing less than 116 kg to tow a child aged 5 or over who is confident on their bike and weighs less than 95 kg with their bike. Zéfal recommends riding at a constant and reasonable speed. To cushion the impact when the cable is engaged, both cyclists must set off at the same time. Finally, to disconnect the bikes before a descent, you must be stationary.
