Garmin Edge 840 Solar GPS bike computer

With its new Edge 840 Solar, Garmin aims to meet the expectations of the most demanding cyclists. Thanks to its Power Glass display, this GPS offers solar charging to extend battery life. Ultimately, this cycle computer will allow you to ride for longer, with a battery life of up to 32 hours in intensive mode or up to 60 hours in energy-saving mode. Its touchscreen, complemented by traditional buttons, is responsive, allowing you to scroll through information as quickly as possible.

Based on an enhanced map tailored to each type of ride, the Edge 840 Solar Garmin offers popular roads and trails as well as points of interest to visit, so you can make the most of your time on your bike. What’s more, navigation is consistently reliable, as multi-band GNSS technology ensures you can find your way without losing your signal, even in challenging environments. Featuring Edge’s address search and route planning functions, this cycle computer will provide you with the best possible support on every ride, particularly with its off-route recalculation feature, which helps you get back on track after straying from your route.

Another major advantage of this Edge 840 Solar Garmin is the ClimbPro feature, which displays the remaining elevation gain and gradient during a climb, allowing you to manage your effort more effectively as you chase KOMs on Strava. This Edge 840 Solar is much more than just a cycle computer, as it could save your life thanks to accident detection – a feature that automatically sends a message and your location to your loved ones following a road incident. In this regard, LiveTrack is ideal for allowing your friends and family to follow your exploits in real time during a long ride. Boasting a generous 32 GB of internal storage, this Edge 840 GPS cycle computer from Garmin is also compatible with the Varia rear light, ensuring you’re more visible to other road users whilst cycling in greater safety.
