12-speed - Single chainring - Direct Mount attachment
Notre avis
As with the XTR 12v, the new Shimano XT chainrings now feature Direct-Mount attachment. Available here in 28, 30, 32, 34 and 36 teeth versions.
The new Shimano XT 12-speed chainrings (SM-CRM85) feature the differential tooth system, known as "narrow tooth"/"wide tooth". A system that has been extensively tested in MTB and cyclo-cross, which reduces the risk of chain skipping to virtually zero (unless the chain or chainring is excessively worn).
As for the chainring mounting system, gone are the traditional 4-bolt/tower mounts! XT chainrings are now attached to the crankset via a Direct-Mount system.
Technical specifications:
- Shimano part number: SM-CRM85
- 12-speed compatible
- Tooth count: 28, 30, 32, 34, 36 teeth
- Single-chainring drivetrain
- Aluminium chainring
- Mounting type: Direct-Mount

Published Jan 14, 2021 at 05:20 pmIndispensable to have the Shimano tool for disassembly/assembly FC41. Otherwise, perfect, conforms to the original as a replacement for the 32 teeth too big in the mountains. (Translated review)
