The Ultegra ST-R8000-LShimano (ref. ISTR8000LI) is the left-hand brake and gear lever designed for the Ultegra R8000 11-speed mechanical road groupsets with rim brakes. It controls the 2-chainring front derailleur whilst providing front braking via Shimano ’s Dual Control Lever technology, which combines gear shifting and braking into a single ergonomic control.

Developed to deliver performance on a par with Dura-Ace, the ST-R8000 features refined ergonomics, an adjustable reach and a lighter shifting mechanism than previous generations. Its compact design improves hand comfort and bike control during long rides and in competition.
