With its design, efficiency and compatibility with sprockets larger than 30 teeth, this R8000 rear derailleur sets the bar very high! It replaces the Ultegra 6800 version.

The particularly compact format of the new Shimano R8000 rear derailleur is inherited from Shimano Shadow RD technology, allowing the derailleur body to be housed under the cassette.
This R8000 derailleur features a new Direct Mount mounting system, which makes the assembly even more rigid, thus improving gear shifting.
Ever more versatile
The geometry of the Shimano rear derailleur has been completely redesigned. Shimano engineers have worked on the shape of the rear derailleur to make the new 9100 rear derailleur compatible with 11-30 (short cage) and 11-34 (medium cage) 11-speed cassettes without compromising smoothness or increasing the weight of the derailleur.
