Shimano ’s Tiagra 4700 ST-4700 shifters are designed for road bikes fitted with a 2x10-speed drivetrain and mechanically operated rim brakes. Part number IST4700PAC2 refers to a complete set comprising the left and right levers, along with the brake and gear cables.

Thanks to their Dual Control design, the Shimano Tiagra 4700 levers combine braking and gear-shifting functions in a single unit. This design allows for intuitive control of the drivetrain whilst maintaining a comfortable position on the handlebars.

The ST-4700 shifters are designed for Shimano 10-speed road drivetrains with a double chainring. For installation in line with the Tiagra 4700 configuration, they are specifically paired with the RD-4700 rear derailleur and the FD-4700 front derailleur. Shimano also lists certain compatibilities with 10-speed components from other ranges; it is therefore recommended that you check the entire drivetrain before assembly.

Please note: a 10-speed Shimano drivetrain is not automatically compatible with ST-4700 shifters. When replacing shifters on a bike fitted with an older 10-speed Shimano groupset, the compatibility of the rear derailleur must be checked in particular.
