The Bryton Cad Duo is a wireless magnetic cadence sensor that accurately measures your pedalling cadence (revolutions per minute). It uses Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+ technologies to transmit data in real time to your bike computer, smartphone or app.
Installation is very simple thanks to its magnet-free design: Secure the sensor to the crank arm (left or right side) using the cable ties (cables supplied). Tighten securely to prevent vibrations, then turn the pedals a few times to wake up the sensor (LED flashes).
It is compatible with any device that supports cadence via ANT+ or Bluetooth. Bryton cycle computers: Rider 15, 320, 410, 420, 450, 530, 750, etc. Other brands: Garmin, Wahoo, Sigma (e.g. Rox Evo), iGPSport, XOSS, etc. Apps: Zwift, Strava, Bryton Active, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, etc.
The CR2032 battery (replaceable) offers a battery life of up to 1 year on standby or approximately 270 to 360 hours of active use (depending on usage intensity and protocol). A low battery icon flashes on compatible devices when it is time to change it.
Yes, it is water-resistant (incidental exposure up to 1 metre deep for 30 minutes). It is ideal for use in the rain or damp conditions, but avoid prolonged immersion.
Wake up the sensor by turning the pedals a few times (LED flashes). On your Bryton or compatible bike computer: go to settings > sensors > add cadence (search for ANT+ or Bluetooth). On smartphone/app: enable Bluetooth/ANT+, start the cadence sensor search. It will then connect automatically once it is activated. Transmission range: approximately 3 metres.
Bluetooth: Ideal for a direct connection to a smartphone or tablet (e.g. Zwift, Bryton Active). ANT+: More stable for multiple connections (several sensors + bike computer), uses less power on compatible devices. The Bryton Cad Duo supports both simultaneously, allowing you to use multiple devices at the same time.
Locate the circular cover on the back of the sensor. Turn it anti-clockwise (using your fingers) until the unlocked icon appears. Remove the old CR2032 battery. Insert the new one (positive terminal facing upwards). Close by turning clockwise until the locked icon appears.
Yes, it uses an internal accelerometer to detect crank rotations.
