The top-of-the-range Shimano PD-R9100 pedal is undoubtedly the ultimate version of the Japanese brand's expertise. It weighs just 228g, a new record for the brand in this segment. It can be used in road, triathlon and time trial events. Its 4mm longer axle offers greater adjustability. This makes it ideal for larger riders and those with specific morphologies.

The composite body is injection-moulded to give the best weight/stiffness ratio. The extra-wide platform improves stability and transmission of pedalling power. The bearings are spaced further apart to distribute the load more evenly across the pedal surface.

As with the previous model, both the engagement and release tension are adjustable.

This new marvel of technology is supplied with Shimano SM-SH12 cleats.
