Shimano ’s PD-RS500 pedals are specially designed for road cyclists who wish to discover or switch to the SPD-SL clipless system with maximum comfort and confidence. Thanks to their reduced spring tension and wide engagement area, they make clipping in and out considerably easier – a benefit particularly appreciated by beginners and recreational cyclists. Their extra-wide platform optimises power transfer, whilst the stainless steel contact plate improves durability and minimises wear over the miles. Compatible with SPD-SL cleats Shimano, they provide an excellent introduction to clipless road pedals.

The bearings are smooth and the fastening mechanism works without problems. A bit heavier than the Ultegra. Very good pedals for this price level.
