It's hard to do better in terms of quality and durability. I've been riding with Shimano pedals for several decades (I started cycling very early on ;)) and I wouldn't change them for anything in the world. And the icing on the cake is that the cleats easily last more than a year, depending on how much you use them.

The leather is very thin, it is not a reproduction of the old handlebar tapes from the 30s. I can't comment on the durability over time, but otherwise the thin leather makes an effect. I mostly keep my hands above the handlebars so I can't compare it in competition conditions. (Translated review)
