Weighing 244 g and with a volume of 8 litres , the Cyclite Saddle Bag Small / 02 is the benchmark for those who want to travel light without compromise: high-frequency welded LiteGrid-RN200T3 material, aluminium SR-System fastening with no wobbling.
Technology specialist
The Cyclite Saddle Bag Small / 02 is the compact version of the Saddle Bag / 02, designed for long-distance cyclists and minimalist bikepackers who refuse to choose between extreme lightness and rock-solid durability. Weighing in at just 244 grams and with a volume of 8 litres, it ticks all the boxes for impromptu bivouacs, short bikepacking trips or multi-day self-supported cycling tours. Winner of the Radsport News Best Of Medal 2025 in the bags category.
Its great strength lies in the proprietary material LiteGrid-RN200T3, developed in-house by Cyclite: two layers of nylon (200D recycled PA/N6.6) assembled using a ripstop weaving technique, then coated on both sides and high-frequency welded. The result: a waterproof bag that is easy to clean and remarkably rigid for its weight. The proprietary SR-System mounting system features an anodised aluminium hook that attaches to the seatpost and ensures a secure, wobble-free fit, even on technical sections or when cycling at high cadence.
The Cyclite Saddle Bag Small / 02 is available in two colours: light grey and black. It comes with the bag and an instruction booklet. The roll-top closure ensures quick access to the contents, whilst the external elastic straps allow you to secure additional gear (jacket, bivvy, etc.). A rear light mount and reflective elements complete the safety features.

The Cyclite Saddle Bag Small / 02 requires a minimum vertical clearance of 21 cm between the underside of the seat rails and the rear tyre (measured with the suspension compressed on full-suspension bikes).
It is compatible with aero seatposts with a maximum width of 6 cm. Use with carbon seatposts is also possible. The SR-System fits the vast majority of round and aero seatposts on the road, gravel and bikepacking market.
The Saddle Bag Small / 02 is a compact version of the Saddle Bag / 02, with a reduced volume of 8 litres (compared to 12.9L for the Large version). It retains the same technologies (LiteGrid-RN200T3, SR-System, high-frequency welding) and the same level of finish, but with an even lower weight (244 g) for cyclists who wish to minimise the load under the saddle as much as possible. Cyclite also offers a Nano version for even smaller volumes.
Yes. The LiteGrid-RN200T3 material is coated on both sides and high-frequency welded, making it weather-resistant. The roll-top closure, when rolled up properly, also ensures a good seal in the event of prolonged rain. It is not a fully waterproof pannier, but it is well suited for use in difficult weather conditions.
Yes, Cyclite explicitly states that use with carbon seatposts is possible. However, please ensure that the vertical clearance between the seat rails and the tyre is at least 21 cm (measure with the suspension compressed if your bike is fitted with it).
Yes. The Cyclite Saddle Bag Small / 02 features a dedicated rear light mount, allowing you to attach a position light or warning light without any additional accessories. Reflective elements are also included to enhance passive visibility.
The LiteGrid-RN200T3 material is designed to be easy to clean: a damp cloth or a rinse with clean water is sufficient in the vast majority of cases. Avoid using a washing machine or a high-pressure cleaner, as these could damage the welds and the protective coating.
