Corima 45R carbon road bike wheels

Returning in 2025 with a new range of wheels named R for Road, Corima presents its 45R wheels, versatile wheels that are equally at home on all terrains, whether in the mountains, on the hills for sprinters, or on the flat. Weighing just 1,395 grams – 145 grams less than the 47WS Evo – these wheels are lightweight and feature wider rims. Aerodynamics have been enhanced with an external width of 30mm, whilst the internal width of 22mm accommodates 28mm or 30mm tyres for greater efficiency and comfort.

These Corima 45R wheels are fitted with hooks (unlike the EVO range) for compatibility with both Tubetype and Tubeless tyres. Having observed that most cyclists who buy Tubeless wheels still ride with inner tubes, the Drôme-based brand has chosen to retain a rim flange. Made in France – with the carbon sourced from the Ain, the hubs from Savoie and the stickers from the Drôme – these wheels are fitted with the EVO hub, the Ratchet freehub system and oversized bearings to ensure reliability and performance.

Thanks to the work of its R&D department, Corima has also decided to dispense with the structural foam in the rims whilst retaining the mechanical properties of stiffness and strength that it provided. This result is achieved through the painstaking and highly specific layering of pre-printed carbon sheets.
