Returning in 2025 with a new range of wheels called R for Road, Corima offers its 45R, versatile wheels that are comfortable on all terrains, in the mountains, on bumps for puncheurs or on flat terrain. Weighing only 1,395 grams, 145 grams less than the 47WS Evo, these wheels are lightweight and feature wider rims. Aerodynamics have been enhanced with an external width of 30 mm, while the internal width of 22 mm allows for 28 or 30 mm tyres for greater efficiency and comfort.These Corima 45R wheels are made with hooks (unlike the EVO range) for Tubetype and Tubeless compatibility. After observing that most cyclists who buy Tubeless wheels still ride with inner tubes, the Drôme-based brand decided to keep a rim flange. Made in France, with carbon fibre sourced from the Ain region, hubs from Savoie and stickers from Drôme, these wheels are fitted with EVO hubs, Ratchet freewheel systems and oversized bearings to ensure reliability and performance.Thanks to the work of its R&D department, Corima has also decided to do away with the structural foam in the rims while retaining the mechanical properties of rigidity and strength that it offered. This result is achieved through the painstaking and highly specific layering of pre-printed carbon sheets.
