Corima 35R carbon road bike wheels

In 2025, Corima returns with a new range of wheels named R for Road. This first 35R version features a low profile for mountain riding, with the aim of delivering consistent performance on mountain passes. Weighing just 1,345 grams, 180 grams less than the previous 32WS EVO, these wheels are lighter than their predecessors whilst featuring wider rims. Aerodynamics have been enhanced with an external width of 30mm, whilst the internal width of 22mm perfectly accommodates 28mm or 30mm tyres for greater efficiency and comfort.

These Corima 35R wheels are designed with hooks (unlike the EVO range) for compatibility with both Tubetype and Tubeless tyres. Noting that most cyclists who buy Tubeless wheels still ride with inner tubes, the Drôme-based brand has chosen to retain a rim flange. Made in France – with the carbon sourced from the Ain, the hubs from Savoie and the stickers from the Drôme – these wheels are fitted with the EVO hub, the Ratchet freehub system and oversized bearings that have proven their worth in ensuring reliability and performance.

Thanks to the work of its R&D department, Corima has also changed direction by doing away with the structural foam in the rims whilst retaining the mechanical properties of stiffness and strength that it provided. This result is achieved through the painstaking and highly specific layering of pre-printed carbon sheets.
