Shimano Dura Ace WH-R9270 C60 Tubeless carbon road bike front wheel with disc brake

The Shimano Dura Ace R9270 C60 wheels were designed from scratch. There was no question of modifying or adapting an existing model, but rather of creating a new wheel. Unlike the C36 and C50 models, the C60 has a specific front hub design with Shimano OPTBAL 2:1 spoke pattern to improve lateral rigidity. Shimano has thus achieved a 20% gain over the previous model. Shimano WH-R9270 C60 wheels also feature stiffer spokes with a diameter of 1.8 mm instead of 1.5 mm.Tested by professional athletes, the additional lateral rigidity of the C60 increases stability in corners and allows for higher speeds on winding roads.Finally, in terms of aerodynamics, the new 60 mm high rims, tested in a wind tunnel, offer a faster and more stable cross-section, appreciated by time trial specialists, triathletes and sprinters.Technical specifications¤
