Zéfal Tubeless Tapes 20mm tubeless rim tape

If you have tubeless tyres and rims and are looking for the best possible combination to keep your tyres pressurised, these Zéfal Tubeless Tapes 20mm rim strips are for you! The strips are easy to fit, as their elastic texture means they can be applied without creases or bubbles. The addition of elastomer adhesive prevents the sealant from seeping into the rim. Regarding installation, Zéfal recommends following these steps: 1- Remove the tyre from the rim.2- Remove the old rim tape. 3- Clean the rim base with a dry cloth. Be sure to remove any adhesive residue if the rim tape is stuck on. Clean thoroughly and degrease using a solvent.4- Unroll the rim tape about ten centimetres.
5- Stick one of the blue stickers to the end of the tape.
6- Stick the tape with the sticker into the rim groove. Position them about two spokes before the valve.
7- Hold the wheel in one hand and, with the other, unroll the strip, pulling firmly. The strip is correctly positioned when it is smooth, with no creases or bubbles.
8- Stick the strip around the entire circumference of the rim. The end of the tape should overlap, finishing approximately 2 spokes after the valve hole.
9- Stick a second blue adhesive patch to complete the installation. This prevents the tape from lifting and thus prevents any future infiltration of the preventive product between the tape and the rim.
10- Locate the valve, pierce the strip with a sharp object, and insert the tubeless valve. 11- Screw on the threaded ring and tighten firmly by hand. 12- Proceed with the fitting of the tubeless or tubeless-ready tyre. Be careful not to use any tools to fit the tyre, as you could damage the rim.
13- Inflate the tyre and press it onto the rim (using our Tubeless Tank inflation system or, if you don't have one, a foot pump or compressor).
