There are technical products for the harshest conditions, and these DexShell Heavy Duty shoe covers are a prime example. Their neoprene is just the right thickness. Thick enough to protect against the cold and rain, but not so thick that it hinders pedalling.

The finish is also top of the range. There is reinforcement at the front of the foot (very useful when walking) and a well-designed opening for the cleat and heel. The whole thing closes with a zip and Velcro fastening at the top of the ankle. The DexShell shoe cover is 11 cm high, which is just perfect.

As mentioned below, I took one size up and it's very good. Quite easy to put on, you have to force a bit but nothing complicated. The product seems to be of very good quality... To see over time... As for cold protection, I rode for 2 hours at 0°C and it was time to go home. However, at 5 degrees it's great, I was very comfortable. For 16€ (promo price) it's hard to find better...
