You can adapt your gear ratio to suit your riding style and terrain. Spécialités TA is a perfect example of this. The chainring is made from 7075T6 aluminium, for lightness and rigidity. The great advantage of this model is that it is compatible with the new generation of Shimano R-series cranksets (9100-8000 and 7000) as well as the older generation 9000-6800 and 5800.
It is important to maintain a gap of 12 teeth between the two chainrings to ensure that they work properly. Correct operation of the chainrings can only be guaranteed by replacing the 2 chainrings with the Spécialité TA X110 models.
For assembly, you must order the covers and screws corresponding to your crankset (see the accessories in this article sheet)
For ideal gear shifting quality, we strongly recommend combining it with the inner X110, with a spacing of between 12 and 16 teeth.

Published May 19, 2025 at 03:36 pmI replaced the two original chainrings (34x50) with this one in 50 and the X110 in 33 teeth (new chain and cassette, of course). Works perfectly. Lighter than the originals; a bit thicker (the originals must have been steel), I had to use slightly longer screws and spacers for the installation. Didn't even need to adjust the derailleur setting (thicker chainring but slightly offset teeth that compensate for proper alignment). (Translated review)
