Intensive road use for several months (long outings and commuting by bike, all weather). The pedals are robust (no wear, play, or squeaks to report), they clean easily, and I appreciate their look on the bike. Once the engagement/disengagement system is broken in, it works without problems: no unexpected disengagement even under heavy effort, and when you need to disengage urgently, you don't fall over. For my use and habits, the angular freedom is good. And as noted by many comments already, you can easily walk with SPD cleats (even on muddy paths, cobblestones, etc.).
