Road specialist

Shimano ’ M05-RX brake pads (part no. IBPM05RXA) are genuine consumables designed to provide reliable, progressive and quiet braking on mountain bikes and bicycles fitted with compatible Shimano disc brakes. Thanks to their organic resin lining, they guarantee an excellent balance between braking power, riding comfort and noise reduction.

Ideal for recreational mountain biking, touring and all-round use, they are aimed at cyclists seeking precise modulation and controlled wear on both dry and wet terrain.

Key features of the M05-RX Shimano:

Smooth and reliable braking
Very low noise levels (organic resin)
Good modulation for precise control on descents
Wide compatibility with Shimano 2-piston calipers
Simple installation with spring and pin included
Shimano part number: IBPM05RXA

Compatibility:

Shimano M05-RX brake pads are compatible with several Shimano calipers, including:

Shimano BR-M515
Shimano BR-M515LA
Shimano BR-C601
Certain entry-level and mid-range MTB series Shimano

Always check the shape of the pad before replacement to ensure perfect compatibility.

Technology & design:

The M05-RX brake pads use a resin (organic) lining mounted on a steel backing. This technical choice enables:

Better progressive braking
A significant reduction in vibrations and squeaking
Gentler wear on the disc compared to metal brake pads

On the other hand, they wear out more quickly than metal brake pads, particularly during intensive use or prolonged descents.

durable, good braking
