Fizik Ergolace 2 GTX MTB shoes

The Ergolace 2 GTX Fizik s are all-terrain shoes designed by Fizik for gravel cyclists, bikepackers and mountain bikers who want to ride beyond tarmac, whatever the weather conditions. This second generation retains the spirit of its predecessor with a wider fit in the metatarsal area, a slimmer profile and a completely redesigned outsole for greater grip on loose or uneven terrain. This version is compatible with clipless pedals (2-hole).

The X2 outsole combines a Vibram Megagrip rubber compound with a specific zonal lug pattern: lower, more evenly spaced lugs in the midfoot for better engagement with pedal pins, and taller, more widely spaced lugs under the heel and toes to grip the ground effectively when carrying the bike. A composite nylon plate provides a stiffness rating of 4/10, sufficient for efficient power transfer whilst maintaining good walkability. The upper uses a lightweight, low-profile ripstop fabric incorporating a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane, complemented by PU-laminated zones for durability and a reinforcement at the front of the foot to protect the toes.

The ergonomic, asymmetrical lacing system, inherited from the first Ergolace, ensures a stable fit even in extreme riding conditions, with easy tightening and loosening whilst on the move. The sock-like construction, made from perforated Airprene fabric, envelops the foot without excessive layering of materials, ensuring a pressure-point-free fit whilst promoting moisture wicking and quick-drying after rain or crossing streams.
