Mavic Comete SL 2027 Road Cycling Helmet

The Comète SL aims to strike the perfect balance between aerodynamics and ventilation – a compromise that is often difficult to achieve with a road cycling helmet. Its shape, validated in the wind tunnel at Hepia Wind Tunnels in Geneva, features front air intakes connected to internal channels that direct the airflow to the rear vents, to cool the head and wick away moisture throughout the ride. Weighing just 280 g in size M, it remains unobtrusive on the head even on the longest rides.

The fit is ensured by the RS360 fastening system, which wraps precisely around the head, complemented by a FidLock magnetic buckle that can be operated with one hand, even whilst cycling. A practical detail completes the design: the Glass Garage, a dedicated space for safely storing your glasses when you take them off. The slim, adjustable straps naturally follow the contour of the ears without ever twisting, and the XRD memory foam at the forehead provides extra comfort, even after several hours in the saddle.

In terms of safety, MIPS technology reduces the risk of brain injury in the event of an impact, whilst the extended coverage at the back of the head enhances protection in this area, which is often less well-protected. Reflective panels, positioned on the sides and at the back, improve visibility in the evening or in low light.
