Argon 18 E-119 Tri Disc Brake integrated disc braking system

Designed specifically for the frame and fork of the E-119 Tri+ Disc, this hydraulic disc braking system fully integrates the calipers into the frame/fork assembly. The result of extensive R&D work (in-house prototyping, FEA analyses, thermal CFD and ISO testing), it solves the classic problem of overheating in recessed calipers thanks to dedicated air ducts that ensure effective cooling of the brake pads and caliper. The fork temperature remains well below critical thresholds even during prolonged braking, whilst ensuring stiffness, progressive response and feel at the lever.

This integrated design completely conceals the calipers and hoses, eliminating the usual aerodynamic penalty associated with disc brakes. The gains measured by CFD amount to approximately 1 W (at 300 W on the flat) compared with conventional external calipers, representing a time saving over long distances, without compromising braking power or ease of maintenance and adjustment.
