What is handlebar end tape used for?

When handlebar tape is fitted to a bicycle handlebar, its end must be securely held in place to prevent it from unravelling over time.

The VAR VACO72200 adhesive finishing tape is used to complete this final stage of assembly. It is applied around the end of the handlebar tape to hold it firmly against the handlebar.

How do you use VAR VACO72200 adhesive tape?

2. Finish wrapping at the designated point.
3. Cut the end of the handlebar tape neatly.
4. Prepare a suitable length of VAR tape.
5. Position the adhesive tape around the end of the handlebar tape.
6. Tighten the tape slightly as you apply it.
7. Ensure an even overlap.
8. Press down firmly to ensure a good bond.

Ideally, the surface should be clean and dry before application to ensure optimal adhesion.
