Corima 62R carbon road bike wheels

Introducing a new range of wheels called R for Road, Corima presents its 62R, wheels designed for road cyclists. Particularly at home on the flat and on small hills tackled with power, these wheels weigh just 1,525 grams – 365 g less than the 58WS – and are lightweight with wider rims. Aerodynamics have been enhanced with an external width of 30mm, whilst the internal width of 22mm accommodates 28mm or 30mm tyres for greater efficiency and comfort.

These Corima 62R wheels are designed with flanges (unlike the EVO range) for compatibility with both Tubetype and Tubeless tyres. Having observed that the majority of cyclists who buy Tubeless wheels still ride with inner tubes, the Drôme-based brand has chosen to retain a rim flange. Made in France – with the carbon sourced from the Ain, the hubs from Savoie and the stickers from the Drôme – these wheels are fitted with the EVO hub, the Ratchet freehub system and oversized bearings to ensure reliability and performance.

Thanks to the work of its R&D department, Corima has also decided to dispense with the structural foam in the rims whilst retaining the mechanical properties of stiffness and strength that it provided. A result achieved through the painstaking and highly specific layering of pre-printed carbon sheets.
