It offers faster and more precise gear changes, thanks in particular to a refined fork at the chainring level on the front derailleur and the Orbit damper on the rear derailleur, which maintains chain tension regardless of road conditions. The levers have been redesigned for improved ergonomics. With a shape that suits all hands, these levers are comfortable as well as effective, particularly when used with disc brakes, which are designed to be more powerful with less effort.

In its new groupset, SRAM offers extended gear ranges with chainrings and cassettes featuring multiple teeth to suit a wide range of riding styles.
