Use our configurator to customise the components of the Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed R8170 groupset based on the ST-R8170 shifters and BR-R8170 brake calipers.

The Shimano R8170 shifters offer top-of-the-range ergonomics and customisation options. Wireless technology ensures the connection and operation of both derailleurs. This results in a cleaner-looking and easier-to-install control unit (wired connection possible if desired). The braking feel can be customised by adjusting the lever travel to achieve a better sensation on contact with the disc, whether more progressive or more aggressive. Whatever setting you choose, full power will always be achieved in an emergency.

The shape of the lever suits all hand sizes to provide maximum comfort in all three positions. It is also angled inwards to facilitate access to gear changes when your hands are at the bottom of the handlebars. The electronics offer the option to connect a satellite button, either a sprinter type (in the dip of the handlebar) or a climber type (at the top of the handlebar).

The brake calipers have been redesigned and made as compact as possible to offer optimal aesthetics and efficiency. Furthermore, a 10% increase in disc clearance ensures quiet operation and improved braking efficiency simultaneously. The bleeding system has been simplified, making the process more accessible to everyone. The J-Kit system allows for quick installation, although bleeding is always recommended after fitting. The hose reference is SM-BH90-JK-SSR; the caliper features two pistons and a standard Flat Mount position. The caliper weighs 136 grams (manufacturer’s specification).
