Notre avis

Secret Chain Blend really improves chain performance! Quieter, and the chain's life is considerably extended. An essential advance for serious cycling enthusiasts.

Antoine B.

Technology specialist

Secret Chain Blend Hot Melt does more than just lubricate; it actually modifies the surface of the chain. It fills every crevice in the metal with highly lubricating, wear-resistant tungsten disulphide particles. The result: chains treated with Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube become faster over time and after several applications.

Another key feature is that Secret Chain Blend is the only hot wax lubricant that contains a specially adapted and compatible drip wax. This drip wax can be used to ‘top up’ the wax as required, thereby extending the interval between hot wax applications and ensuring the quietest possible operation of the drivetrain.

Ultimately, using the combination of Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube can significantly extend the service life of chain and drivetrain components, by up to 10 times. An essential breakthrough for cyclists seeking performance and durability.

Technical specifications:

- Saves up to 8 W
- 500 g pouch
- Feels clean to the touch on the chain
- No PFAS chemicals
- Significantly increases the durability of wear parts (Silca reports 2 to 10 times longer lifespan depending on conditions of use)

First, clean the chain well even the new ones that are sticky with factory grease, then I dip the chain in melted wax using an old rice cooker that heats quickly and automatically keeps warm (very handy). Shake the chain a bit for 2 to 3 minutes always submerged, take it out and drain for a few minutes but not too much because you have to force the links by hand before reassembly, the result on the bike is quite impressive, the chain is then completely silent. However, no instructions on the packet!!!

After a meticulous cleaning of the chain to avoid any contamination, immerse the chain for at least 10 minutes in melted wax in a water bath between 65°C and 75°C. Before taking it out, it should be stirred a bit while still submerged. The chain is then completely silent, it's really impressive! The only downside: no instructions on the packet...
