As well as its function as a pedal, the FC-R9200-P sensor is fully compatible with training platforms such as Zwift. This means that even a basic, entry-level home trainer can allow you to compete against other riders online.

The Shimano power meter crankset enables you to plan and analyse your training sessions effectively. It is capable of indicating the balance of power output between the right and left legs. Offering dual Ant+ and Bluetooth compatibility, it can be paired with all bike computers and GPS watches on the market – such as Garmin, Bryton, Polar, Wahoo, etc. – that use the same technology.

The integration of the sensors is particularly impressive and virtually invisible. The power system is housed within the bottom bracket to accommodate its battery. There is also a sensor on each crank arm to achieve an accuracy of +/-2 per cent. This is more than sufficient and precise enough for high-level training.

The impressive battery life of 300 hours (rechargeable battery) allows for unrestricted and cost-effective use (you save on the constant need to buy batteries).

At the end of your ride, you can analyse your performance using the software of your choice, whether it’s linked to your cycle computer (such as Garmin Connect or Bryton Active) or a programme of your choice, such as Golden Cheetah or TrainingPeaks.
