A true best-seller from Continental, the Grand Prix 5000 S TR tyre is renowned for its exceptional performance and unquestionable reliability, making it the first choice for amateur and competitive cyclists seeking a high-performance tyre.

Drawing on its expertise in tyre design, Continental sought to optimise the grip of the aforementioned version whilst maintaining a high level of performance. To achieve this, the German brand has developed a new tyre, the Grand Prix 5000 All Season TR, featuring the same tread pattern as the GP 5000 S TR and incorporating a rubber compound that improves grip on wet surfaces.

The technologies that made the GP5000 S TR a success have been retained, allowing this new model to retain the key features of the Grand Prix 5000. Indeed, the Black Chili rubber offers the perfect balance between grip and performance thanks to the combination of the latest polymer and carbon particles. Vectran technology has also been retained to provide optimal puncture resistance and exceptional durability! Finally, the Lazer Grip radically optimises grip on the sides for exceptional lateral traction!

Switching to 28 for this GP5000 AS, whose previous set, in 25, did not disappoint me with its puncture resistance and performance, despite thicker sidewalls than the "regular" version. When mounting, on Mavic SL32, still as hard to seat them, but fortunately punctures are rarer. In terms of comfort, after 250 km, I expected better, but these are my first 28s, it's difficult for me to compare. I think that on the coarse gravel of country roads, the vibrations are still less strong than on 25s. (Translated review)
