This is my first pair of Gaerne shoes. I am very satisfied but I took them a bit tight. I should have requested an exchange when I ordered them and was within the deadlines. It's a shame because I can't exploit their full potential. They fit my foot well but they are too short; otherwise, they fully meet my expectations in terms of rigidity. I can no longer do without a hyper rigid carbon sole. The performance is better on the transmission. I highly recommend this brand and this model for all competitors or amateurs who want to enjoy an optimization of their pedaling, but be careful to take half a size larger like with Northwave.
