The new version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II MTB tyre has been completely redesigned, with subtle modifications that have improved acceleration, cornering and braking, among other things. Another new feature is the side knobs, which have been copied from the legendary Minion DHF, a front-specific tyre with excellent lateral grip. These side knobs have been oversized and adapted to withstand the specific stresses of a rear tyre. The central tread pattern is more aggressive and rolls more easily to improve traction without compromising braking performance. As always, Maxxis recommends the DHR II for rear mounting, ideally in combination with a DHF on the front. The version offered here features an Exo Protection layer on the sidewalls, making the tyre highly resistant to tears, punctures and abrasion. The Wide Trail (WT) casing is optimised for rims with an internal width of 30 to 35 mm. it is strongly recommended that you add a dose of anti-puncture liquid to minimise punctures and ensure the tyre is completely airtight.
