Equipped with the Shimano M4100 brake lever, the Shimano M4100 rear brake offers faster pad engagement in the BR-MT420 4-piston caliper. The progressive and powerful braking of this hydraulic disc brake is suitable for trail mountain bikes and electric-assist bikes. The longer lever provides a reassuring grip for better control of braking power.
To integrate other Shimano components, the clamp on this brake complies with the I-Spec EV standard, allowing the brake lever to be combined with Shimano I-Spec-EV derailleur and dropper seat post controls. For more reliable braking, the brake has an additional contact point on the handlebar to improve rigidity, especially when significant pressure is applied to the lever.
