Shimano XTR M9120 brakes have been designed with a 4-piston caliper to meet the needs of enduro riding. The lever has undergone a few modifications, notably with the addition of a reach adjustment dial for optimal customisation. To transfer all the necessary braking power from the lever to the caliper, Shimano has equipped the brake with a 10% stiffer hose. The 4-piston ventilated pads promote heat dissipation for more consistent braking performance.
During repeated braking, the lever returns to its initial position more quickly for a consistent feel. Shimano has designed the XTR M9120 for faster pad engagement during braking.
