Its 2-piece design results in a lighter and stiffer assembly for better power transfer, whilst also facilitating installation and maintenance. The chainring features a specific tooth profile to ensure good chain retention and prevent derailments.

This FC-M5100-1 version from the Deore range is compatible with mountain bikes featuring a 148 mm Boost rear wheelbase and standard 135/142 mm wheelbases with its Q-factor of 178.5 mm, and offers a chainline of 52 mm.
