Description:

Following an extensive period of field testing and development, Hutchinson is launching its latest tyre model to the general public: the Kraken. Inspired by the Hutchinson Skeleton, the French brand’s high-performance XC tyre, the Kraken is designed to be more accessible.
Available in a generous 29x2.30 size, it is equally at home on cross-country mountain bike World Cup circuits as it is on a versatile trail bike. It can be used at low pressure and delivers its full performance even on wide rims, offering optimal comfort, high-performance grip and excellent efficiency.
The tread blocks are chevron-shaped to ensure optimal performance, whilst their height is calculated to provide greater traction and grip under braking. The intermediate blocks play a very important role. They have been strategically positioned to effectively contribute to the tyre’s traction, whilst improving puncture protection. The side knobs are substantial and extend down the sidewall to reinforce the tyre’s structure, thereby offering every mountain biker optimum confidence in all conditions.
