The Shimano XT FC-M8100-2 crankset is the double chainring version of this crankset for bikes with a classic standard (12x142 mm rear wheel axle), designed to offer a chainline of 48.8 mm with a Q-Factor of 172 mm. Featuring forged hollow cranks for optimal power transfer while maintaining low weight, you'll enjoy a lighter, more aesthetic direct mount chainring system that boosts the performance of this crankset.While the cranks are the same as those on the single chainring crankset, the difference lies in the large chainring, which is attached directly to the bottom bracket, onto which the small chainring is then screwed. This component therefore offers you the possibility of starting with a 2x12-speed drivetrain and then switching to 1x12-speed by fitting a chainring designed for the 1x12-speed drivetrain.
